Nestled in a beautiful mountain valley surrounded by the scenic San Isabel National Forest, Poncha Springs displays the diversity and richness of the Old Western Colorado and a comfortable mountain town.
The surrounding region is abundant with natural beauty sought out by visitors who arrive to enjoy the numerous available leisure-time activities. Winter sports and skiing are possible at Monarch Ski Area approximately 15 miles west of Poncha Springs. Small and big game hunting, stream and lake fishing, hiking, horseback riding, camping and picnicking, sight-seeing, 4-wheeling, and white water rafting are among the pursuits enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

Featured Attractions in Poncha Springs Colorado
Town Hall/Chipeta Park: Currently located in a beautiful old school building next to Chipeta Park. The park has a playground, picnic area and basketball court.
Chaffee County Fairgrounds: Fair grounds and event center. The facility has been home to Ski Swaps, Concerts, Rodeos and High School Dances.
Visitors Center: The visitor's center is located at the junction of Hwy 285 and Hwy 50 and will welcome you with hot coffee and a smile.
Disc Golf: The course is located on 20 acres in the Town of 'South Park' just outside of Poncha Springs, and promises to challenge golfers of every skill level with hazards and wicked doglegs.
