An 1880s Railroad Boarding House, The Thomas House offers the comfort of a country inn with the convenience of town lodging, in an ideal location for all of your travel needs. In true rooming house style, Mt. Ouray, Mt Yale, Mt. Antero, and Mt. Shavano rooms with private baths all share a common sitting room with television and kitchenette.
The "Buffalo Peaks Cottage" is noted for its hand-made custom king-size bed built of aspen logs. The cottage also has its own kitchen area. This private cottage is on the ground floor and free standing with front door parking. We also have 2 one-bedroom/one-bath apartments available - short or long term, a nice, private alternative.Both are located in town about a block from The Thomas House. We are only a block from the Arkansas River, Historic Downtown Salida which is at the heart of Salida lodging history.
